I am a graduate of The University of Maine - Orono, where I received my degree in Education and mathematics. My career started in middle school (6th-8th grade) math and moved to the elementary several years ago where I have taught Kindergarten, First Grade and now Second Grade.
I'm lucky enough to teach in a district that is 1:1 iPads K-12th grade. Incorporating technology into my teaching has become a passion of mine over the last 5 years. With this technology my students have been empowered with the skills to explore, question, discover and share their learning.
In my spare time I love to spend time with my family: husband Greg, twin sons William and Peter (age 8) and daughter Natalie (age 5). I also enjoy gardening, running, hiking, camping and skiing.
